Why you aren’t getting what you really want

Jan 09, 2023

Why you aren’t getting what you really want.

I've been coaching for a long-ass time.

I know how to create a safe space, ask you powerful questions, and help you clarify your marketing strategy.

But my deepest fascination - my obsession - continues to be helping you admit your One. Outrageous. Desire.

Do you want to retreat to Bali for a month?

Publish a book of poetry?

Take more naps?

Make a million dollars?

Find your dream house?

Speak on stages to an audience of thousands?

Can you put it into words?

Do you dare to admit it?

There are so many reasons that women deny or get confused about what we truly long for.

Our deepest desires feel totally unrealistic. Irrational. Inappropriate.

The implications are terrifying.

If we follow desire with total honesty, we know that we might upset someone we care about.

We might have to take action.

We might end up disrupting partnerships, families, communities.

We might change the course of history.

This is why I love coaching.

Nearly everything I've created - my work, my life, my art - is the result of working with a coach who challenged me to be honest with myself and others about what I actually wanted to do, to create, to feel.

For the last several months, I've been privately coaching a handful of women who leapt whole-heartedly into the mystical, magical, miraculous power of their most outrageous desires.

One Woman started painting again. Two days after we met, her art studio was set up after 10 years of thinking about it.

After 20 years, another Woman told her husband that she was leaving. And she did.

Yet another bought plane tickets and found a place to live in Italy for two months. This was her private fantasy since she was a Junior in High School. And next spring, she'll be there.

The theme I'm seeing in Women these day sounds something like this:

"I'm done with bullshit and so ready to re-order my priorities."

"I'm ready to see what I'm truly capable of when I admit what I actually want."

Start with one desire, Sister.

Make it absurdly thrilling. Unrealistic. And illogical.

Write it down. Admit it.

Don't worry about "how" just yet.

Just notice what happens when you take a deep breath, tune in, and yearn for something new.

Let's get connected!

Depending on the season and what's going on in the world, I create free workshops, fundraisers, and / or Sisterhood gatherings. Sometimes I'm gearing up for Rockstar Camp enrollment which sells out quickly.

Sometimes I just have updates or feel the impulse to write to you and check in.
