My 4 Favorite Takeaways from working with Marianne Williamson

Nov 01, 2022

If a fortune teller told me when I was in college that in 20 years, I would meet Marianne Williamson and then partner with her to run a coaching program based on A Course in Miracles, I would have probably… rolled my eyes and gone back to doodling in my journal.

How did this happen?

It wasn’t something I planned for.

Certainly nothing I expected.

I admit I had been praying for “an opportunity beyond my wildest imagination” and you know – God is a showoff when it comes to responding to a fervent prayer.

The details of how it happened include a series of divinely orchestrated events involving a presidential campaign, a snowstorm at a castle, and the fierce and brilliant voice of my bestie Angela Lauria (A truly amazing tale and one worth telling but I’m going to fast-forward to the end because that’s where I’m at.)

I said yes.

Not because I had nothing else going on. (I was running two of my own Sisterhood groups at the time while managing my daughter’s homeschooling adventure as well as my step-father’s progressing dementia) but because I knew the experience would grow me.

And growth I got.

In so many directions.

On some weeks it felt like more growth than I could tolerate, but man it was so worth it.

In two years, we have graduated over 300 therapists, artists, healers, psychics, doctors. Many of them stayed for the year-long “Mastery” course that has included weekly practicums, business strategy, and of course – live calls with Marianne.

I was on every single call.

Taking notes. Observing. Facilitating.

I was stretched, and inspired, and humbled.

Yesterday we circled up for our last call together. There are endless lessons I’m taking with me, but here are a few that will stick with me forever:

  • Every situation and every relationship is a lesson designed specifically for you. God’s not giving you a pass until you learn it.
  • Compassion is not the same as coddling. Take responsibility for your life and help your clients do the same.
  • Be disciplined in your being, doing, and thinking. Meditate. Pay attention. Have a straight attitudinal spine. It’s worth the effort.
  • A miracle does not mean getting what you want all the time. It is a shift in perception that changes… everything.

Here’s to us.

Here’s to love.

Depending on the season and what's going on in the world, I create free workshops, fundraisers, and / or Sisterhood gatherings. Sometimes I'm gearing up for Rockstar Camp enrollment which sells out quickly.

Sometimes I just have updates or feel the impulse to write to you and check in.
